Sustainable Valorisation of Peach and Apricot Waste Using Green Extraction Technique with Conventional and Deep Eutectic Solvents

Worldwide, fruit processing industries reject high volumes of waste, which represent rich sources phenolic compounds and can be valorised through extraction, then reused for food, nutraceutical or cosmetic applications. In the present work, optimisation recovery from apricot kernels pulp, as well peach green method ultrasound microwave assisted extraction (UMAE) is performed. Prior to a drying step pulps conducted using freeze, vacuum hot air drying. Except conventional solvents water ethanol:water, deep eutectic solvent (DES) formed by choline chloride/urea, natural (NaDES) chloride with lactic acid, are used, something that presentsecological benefits. With aim discovering optimum conditions, different values parameters time, utrasonic power solvent/dry solid ratio examined, mathematical model developed correlate them yield (EY). The antioxidant activity determined UV-Vis spectroscopy High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). results study demonstrated most effective in ethanol: water; DES more efficient pulp NaDES pulps, reaching EYs 25.65, 26.83 17.13%, respectively. conclusion, both types waste proved have significant content valuable compounds, use by-product seems promising alternative. Thus, unexploited amounts simple techniques innovative solvents.
